Meet Our Staff
Rev. Bert McCutcheon
Our Lead Pastor, Bert McCutcheon grew up in the Roblin Wesleyan Church, and returned in 1993, after 12 years away, to work with Youth and Music ministries. In 1997 Bert became Lead Pastor. He graduated from Kingswood University in 1988 with a Ministry degree and Music minor.
Bert is a people person, gifted communicator and singer/instrumentalist. He served as Music and Youth Pastor at the Miliken Wesleyan Church in Markham for two years, then he, and his wife Dawn, spent three years on staff at Freedom Ministries, in Vermont, before his return to Roblin.
Pastor Bert is actively involved in the local ministerial and eagerly supports the raising up of new churches. His latest efforts have been in the releasing of a portion of people from RWC to begin a new Church in Amherstview called 'Parkway Church".
Rev. Paul DeMerchant
Pastor Paul was the youngest child of five siblings, raised on a potato farm in Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, where the words like "hard work," "family fun," and "Hockey Night in Canada" were household phrases.
As a teen, he struggled to know God's best for him. Paul enrolled at Kingswood University. While on a missions trip to Europe with a Christian Sports Organization, he realized God was calling him into full-time ministry.
Since graduating in 1989 with a BA in Religion, Paul has enjoyed serving in three different Wesleyan churches with responsibilities in Youth, Assimilation, and Discipleship. He also served at Kingswood University in Student Recruitment and Sports.
Paul loves his wife, Nancy (nee: Horner) and their children, Adam and Alyson, and a good cup of coffee! Pastor Paul' s responsibilities at RWC are Superintendent of Sunday school, Small Group Ministries, Children's Ministries, Membership and Baptisms and other areas of Discipleship.
Pastor Brock MacDonald
Pastor Brock comes to us as a graduate of Kingswood University, with a BA in Religion, majoring in Youth Ministry and a Masters of Divinity from Torch Trinity Theological Seminary.
Brock grew up here in Napanee, attended RWC as a teen, and set out to college and explore what God had for him to do. This lead him to intern at Centennial Road Wesleyan Church in Brockville, Church Planting in Calgary, teaching English, ministering and earning an M.Div in South Korea, and serving in New Brunswick before returning home with his wife, Kimberley.
Brock married Kimberley (nee: Anderson) at Kingswood University in 2012.
